THIS WEEK’S TIP: Develop an Education “Plan” for Yourself
Education truly is a “weapon” that can be used to change the world … starting with your own world. Education, in all forms, expands your perspective. However, it is the education we get from consciously learning about alternative thoughts, lifestyles and views on particular subjects that expands our perspective the most because alternative viewpoints and lifestyles challenges the status quo. So often, we get so caught in the way we think about and do things that we can’t imagine another way of living or thinking. This is especially true if we have experienced any amount of success in life. Getting too comfortable in the status quo has been the underlying cause of failure for many once great businesses and people.
How do you educate yourself on a daily basis? How do you consciously keep your insights fresh and ready to respond to challenges? Invest time to come up with and execute your own educational plan/curriculum. (I prefer to use the word “curriculum” when referring to my personal educational plan.)
Because of the internet, there are great lectures and seminars available at anytime via webinars on demand, videos and podcasting. Of course, there are wonderful books to read and seminars to attend in person. Investing your time and money into conscious education truly is one of the best tools for changing your world.
